Industry week at the Detroit Auto Show has ended meaning that all the new models have been unveiled. Monday and Tuesday were filled with the unveiling of new models and concepts. While there are not many concept cars, the show was primarily made up of production cars.
Highlights from the 2014 auto show include the all new 2015 Ford F-150. Made from aluminum, the new F-150 will change the full size pick-up market. The truck is lighter and more efficient, but it will retain its capability. Other highlights include the Volkswagen Golf R, 2015 Ford Mustang, 2015 BMW M3 and M4, and the Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge Concept.
But the star of the show was the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06, which is truly a street-legal race car. The Z06’s supercharged V8 produces a mind boggling 625 horsepower and 600+ lb. ft. of torque. Modified suspension and lightened materials will make the Z06 a great track car. More details about the car and pricing will be released later this year.
